Sportsyndicator cements #1 digital buying point for sport media in the UK

14th August 2012

Leading digital sports agency, Sportsyndicator has retained its position as the number one buying point for sport digital media in the UK. Following the release of comScore’s Media Metrix Report[1], the number of unique users Sportsyndicator currently reaches has risen to 7.7 million – over two million more than key competitor Perform Group and over three and a half million more than Sky Digital Media.

Sportsyndicator’s heritage in the market means it is able to offer advertisers access to the most extensive male and female sports audiences in the UK. This is in addition to also possessing the largest sports portfolio reach for both over 25s and high income demographic audiences.

Only BBC Sport currently surpasses Sportsyndicator, though lacks a commercial offering for advertisers, yet Sportsyndicator is now only one million unique users away this British institution. This is a feat yet to be achieved by any other commercial property and this benchmark further reinforces Sportsyndicator’s current stronghold on this vertical.

Spyro Korsanos, CEO, of parent company Mediasyndicator said, “Our vertical approach when reaching sports enthusiasts has been so successful because we recognise that contextual relevance is key for engagement. By maximising our relevance to sports advertisers, we also yield the best possible results for our online publisher partner, which leads to us accumulating size. We’re proud to reconfirm our position as market leader in sports reach. These figures are testament to our understanding and knowledge within the online UK sport market.”
